Tango is a Chrome extension that auto-captures workflow best practices by recording users’ actions, links, URLs and screenshots and turning them into step-by-step documentation with video. The product targets roles like customer success and sales enablement and aims to recover as much as 20% of employees’ workweek spent searching for information. Its technology runs in the background to create a workflow dataset for enterprises and to integrate with existing knowledge systems such as wikis. Founded in March 2020 by Ken Babcock, Dan Giovacchini and Brian Shultz after leaving Harvard Business School, the Los Angeles-based company was previously bootstrapped. Tango has 13 employees, has secured 10 pilots to refine its capabilities, and plans a public launch in September. The company will offer free, premium and enterprise tiers and intends to pursue a product-led growth strategy by expanding product and growth teams and investing in product development.
