The product has been popular in beta with GoPro-using surfers, snowboarders, and other extreme-sports enthusiasts who want to extract key moments without sharing full-length footage. The team also identifies parents of young children as power users because of the difficulty of capturing unpredictable moments. Taplet launched out of beta recently and is available for iOS. The company has raised $1 million in seed funding and is focused on driving user adoption and demonstrating the ease and quality of its video-to-photo workflow.
