Taptera builds enterprise iPhone and iPad applications focused on business users. Its first product, Colleagues, is a mobile employee directory tool slated to hit the market later this year. The founding team includes CEO and cofounder Chris O'Connor and cofounder and CPO Dan McCall, both veterans of Genentech, and CTO Mike Janson, who joined from Salesforce.com where he worked on Chatter. The company is based in San Francisco. Taptera has raised $2 million in a Series A to fund product development and launch.
