Task-Fronterra Group is the merged entity of Aberdeen-headquartered Task Geoscience (founded 2001) and Houston-headquartered Fronterra Integrated Geosciences (founded 2003). The combined firm provides data processing, borehole interpretation, reservoir modelling and specialized borehole imaging and core integration services to oil and gas operators. The merger created a larger global geoscience consultancy with a presence in 10 offices across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. The company says its specialty in borehole imaging and core integration helps clients improve understanding of reservoirs through detailed wellbore geology and fracture analysis. Task-Fronterra will be led by Task founder and CEO Lawrence Bourke, supported by a senior management team drawn from both businesses. Two senior non-executives, Will Davie and John Forrest, have also joined the board. The combined company received growth capital to support its operations and global reach.
