In4Derm is a spin‑out from the University of Dundee’s School of Life Sciences with laboratory facilities in Dundee, Scotland. The company develops first‑in‑class anti‑inflammatory and orphan‑indication therapeutics, including topical and oral BET inhibitor (BETi) programmes. After a 2020 seed round, In4Derm entered an option and licensing arrangement with VYNE Therapeutics in early 2021 covering its topical and oral BETi programmes. That deal includes potential upfronts and milestones totaling over $80m plus royalties, and VYNE exercised its option to license the topical BETi in August 2021 with plans to begin clinical trials in 2022. The newly announced £1.6m pre‑Series A will support continued development of the oral BETi programme and expansion of the pipeline into additional inflammation and orphan disease assets.
