Taos Data develops TDengine, a proprietary IoT big data platform for time-series data that emphasizes high performance, scalability, high reliability, and zero management. The company supports C/C++, Java, Python and other interfaces. The community edition of TDengine was open-sourced in July 2019, with clustering features added in August 2020. TDengine has attracted 15,000 stars and 3,800 forks on GitHub and is one of the most popular open-source projects. Founded in 2017 and based in Beijing, Taos Data recently closed a $47m Series B financing. The company said the proceeds will be used for technology development and market expansion.
