Teamleader is a Belgium-headquartered SaaS platform that helps small and medium-sized enterprises operate more digitally. The platform includes CRM and sales, project management, time tracking, and invoicing. Teamleader says it serves nearly 10,000 customers across six countries. A major focus is the Teamleader Marketplace, which is on track to support 1,000 integrations with an emphasis on localisation. The company created a $1 million fund for European developers to build integrations. Teamleader plans to use its Series C funding to accelerate its product roadmap, drive international growth and double down on a multi-local, country-specific approach. Teamleader is a Gent-based startup whose product is used by SMEs for CRM, project management, and invoicing. The company intends to evolve from a product into a fully fledged platform through integrations with other tools, including local software. CEO Jeroen De Wit said the new funding will be used to push into new markets and to further invest in the product. Teamleader follows a “multilocal strategy,” placing local teams in markets it operates in to provide client support and plans to make the local aspect of its product more tangible via integrations. It currently has offices in Amsterdam, Berlin, and Madrid and plans to open new offices in France and Italy. The company is focused on serving European SMEs and says the round positions it to pursue market leadership in the SME segment. Teamleader provides SMEs with an integrated administration platform featuring CRM, calendar, invoicing, sales, project planning, tickets, time tracking, voice calls (VoIP) and integrated applications. The company is based in Ghent, Belgium and is led by Jeroen De Wit. It had 24 employees and was continuing to hire. Teamleader has an office in Amsterdam, with Berlin and Paris planned to open in 2015. The company raised €2.5m in funding from Fortino. It intends to use the funds to further develop the software, professionalize the organisation and expand in Europe.
