Overview

TechSee has developed Visual Assistance technology that delivers real-time AR guidance on smartphones and tablets in assisted-service or self-service modes. Its computer-vision AI platform can automatically identify components, ports, cables, LED indicators, and more to detect issues and suggest resolutions for consumers, contact-center agents, and field technicians. The technology is applied to installing, operating, and troubleshooting networking devices, smart-home products, home appliances, and other equipment. The company says it will use new capital to enter new markets and verticals and to expand its product offerings and capabilities. TechSee has announced a commercial partnership with Verizon and works with Vodafone, Orange, Liberty Global, Accenture, Hitachi, and Lavazza. Founded in 2015 and led by CEO Eitan Cohen, TechSee has offices in Tel Aviv, New York, London, and Madrid. TechSee builds an AI-based video support platform that combines computer vision and augmented reality to help customer-service agents or provide unmanned visual assistance via a customer’s smartphone camera. The product is sold both as a tool to assist live agents and as standalone unmanned video assistance to resolve common issues. TechSee leverages millions of media files to train its algorithms and to build a catalogue of device-specific troubleshooting guidance. The company serves about 15,000 customer service agents and counts customers such as Samsung and Vodafone across verticals including financial services, tech, telecoms and insurance. Reported outcomes for customers include roughly a 40% increase in customer satisfaction (NPS), a 17% decrease in technician dispatches and a 20–30% increase in first-call resolution. TechSee has raised around $23 million to date, is not disclosing its valuation, and plans to use new funding to expand its current business and move into new product areas like sales. TechSee develops AI- and augmented reality-powered visual support solutions that enable tech support teams to execute visually interactive remote diagnoses and resolutions via customers' smartphones. Led by co‑founder and CEO Eitan Cohen, the company is building a large database of interactions and resolutions to enable automated, robotic visual resolution of technical issues. TechSee completed a $7.5m Series A financing to accelerate market penetration, technology development and the delivery of innovative products to customers and prospects. The Series A round was led by Planven Investments with participation from existing investor OurCrowd (OurCrowd First) and strategic investors innogy and Comdata Group, among others. The company is headquartered in Tel Aviv and also maintains offices in Boston and Madrid. TechSee targets corporate customer support departments across the globe.
