Techtonic Group

Khilda/Techtonic House, Amman, 11821, Jordan

Overview

Techtonic Group operates an outsourced apprenticeship program aimed at closing skill and equity gaps in high-tech fields. Its Department of Labor–registered apprenticeship trains entry-level software developers and connects them with client companies, with clients able to hire apprentices at no additional cost after 1,000 hours. The company does not require degrees for apprentices and reports that over 30% of participants have been women, half come from underrepresented minority backgrounds, and one-quarter are veterans. Founded in 2006 and based in Denver, Techtonic pitches itself as both a development shop and a recruitment and training company. Its customers include Zayo Group, Well Wallet, Pivotal Software and Misty Robotics. The company raised $2 million in new funding from University Ventures and Zoma Capital to support its work expanding access to skilled tech talent.
