Overview
Telcoin is a multinational financial technology company that blends blockchain, telecommunications, and traditional banking to deliver secure, self-custodial payments and banking services in 171 countries. Headed by founder and CEO Paul Neuner, the firm is pursuing a Nebraska Digital Asset Depository Institution charter that would make it the first regulated blockchain bank in the United States. Central to its roadmap is the launch of eUSD, a bank-issued “Digital Cash” stablecoin that will give customers a regulated on-ramp to decentralized financial (DeFi) protocols. The charter derives from the 2021 Nebraska Financial Innovation Act, which Telcoin co-authored, and explicitly authorizes DeFi connectivity within a regulated framework. By coupling telecom rails with blockchain infrastructure, Telcoin aims to deliver low-cost remittances, on-chain banking, and compliance-friendly stablecoin services. The company did not disclose current revenue or user figures, but the new capital strengthens its balance sheet to meet statutory capital requirements for its forthcoming bank charter, positioning it for future product launches and geographic expansion.
