Overview
Telecel Global is a telecommunications group providing mobile services and network infrastructure across multiple African markets. In February 2024 the group secured a $20 million debt investment from the Africa Credit Opportunities Fund to support expansion across West Africa. The company operates as a service provider in 27 countries and has a telecom operator presence in six markets, including Liberia, Ghana, the Central African Republic and Congo DRC. The financing will be used to expand 4G coverage, extend fiber networks and improve last-mile connectivity in urban centers. Following last year’s acquisition of Vodafone Ghana, Telecel plans to rebrand Vodafone Ghana to Telecel by the end of the month and will particularly direct capital to Ghana operations. The group intends to pursue growth via mergers and acquisitions and to expand digital services, fintech and e-commerce offerings for mobile customers. Telecel also plans investments in AI, research and development, social impact initiatives and support for startups; Moh Damush is Group CEO and Co‑Founder.
