Telesphere Networks
9237 E. Via de Ventura Blvd. Suite 250, Scottsdale, Arizona, 85258, United States
Overview
Telesphere operates a nationwide hosted PBX, VoIP and cloud communications platform delivering business phone and Internet services. Its cloud-based offerings aim to replace on-premises PBX voice systems and enable integration across voice and data services. The company says cloud services save businesses the costs of maintaining on-site PBX equipment while providing greater integration. Proceeds from the recent financing will be used to support the company’s growth, which management attributes to increased demand for hosted voice and data services. The amount of this financing was not disclosed. Backers named in the article include Rally Capital and Hawkeye Investments. The financing brings the company’s total capital raised to more than $50m over a five-year period. Telesphere provides business phone and Internet services, including hosted IP and VoIP offerings. The company says it intends to be a major player in hosted IP services in the United States and plans to expand its market presence and capabilities. Management plans to reinvest capital to maintain award-winning customer service and expand capabilities for clients. Recently Telesphere acquired the VoIP services business of Denver-based Unity Business Networks and appointed Unity CEO Bob Paulsen as Telesphere’s Chief Operating Officer. The Unity acquisition nearly doubles Telesphere in size and, according to the company, adds the best back-office system in the hosted PBX industry. Telesphere remains based in Phoenix with a major presence in Denver and has raised $32m in additional financing over the past 24 months.
