Tella Firma Foundations offers an elevated slab-on-grade foundation system that protects homes by creating a void between the ground and the slab, isolating structures from soil swells, contractions and light earthquakes. The system has been used in the Dallas–Fort Worth area as well as Austin and San Antonio. Lennar Homes signed on as the first volume production builder to use Tella Firma throughout their Irving subdivision. Led by CEO Jim Fontaine, the company targets new developments and custom homes. Tella Firma plans to use the recently raised funds to grow across new developments and custom homes throughout the area and to expand outside of Texas. The company received over $1.5M in angel funding to support these initiatives.
