Passeig de Gràcia 54, 2D, Barcelona, 08007, Spain
Overview
Telomere Therapeutics is developing an in vivo gene therapy aimed at treating telomeric syndromes associated with conditions including idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, aplastic anemia and dyskeratosis congenita, and at addressing increased severity of disease caused by SARS‑CoV‑2. The company secured a co‑investment through the Spanish CDTI’s Innvierte program, with CDTI contributing €890,000 alongside Invivo Ventures FCR. That contribution was part of five Innvierte co‑investments closed in May totaling €2,232,500. The Innvierte vehicle (Innvierte Economía Sostenible SICC S.M.E., S.A.) is managed under CDTI to promote growth and capitalization of technology‑based companies. CDTI, a public body under the Ministry of Science and Innovation, supports innovation via grants and partially reimbursable aid and facilitates capitalization through Innvierte. The funding is intended to support Telomere Therapeutics’ continued development of its gene‑therapy program.
