Overview
Tempo Therapeutics is a clinical-stage company advancing tissue engineering and regenerative medicine using its patented microporous‑annealed‑particle (MAP) technology. The MAP platform is a first‑in‑class volumetric injectable porous scaffold that repurposes established hydrogel polymer components to create a hyper‑porous, flowable scaffold format. MAP products enable immediate tissue ingrowth and integration, aim to evade the typical inflammatory foreign body response, and promote a regenerative immune response leading to vascularized tissue formation. With the Series A financing, Tempo is entering clinical trials of MAP‑based surgical scaffolds and will focus on establishing safety and effectiveness of its lead products. Its two lead programs are TT101 for complex surgical sites with exposed bone, tendon, or fascia, and TT108 for fascial incision site reinforcement. The company is led by founder and CEO Westbrook Weaver and is based in San Diego, CA.
