Tenex Health

26902 Vista Terrace, Lake Forest, CA, 92630, United States

Overview

Tenex Health develops the FAST™ Procedure (Focused Aspiration of Scar Tissue) and the proprietary TX1 Tissue Removal System for treating tendon pain and injuries. The procedure is minimally invasive, performed under local anesthesia in about 15 minutes in an outpatient setting, and is designed to remove diseased soft tissue while preserving healthy tendon tissue for faster recovery. The company developed the product in collaboration with the Mayo Clinic and has been recognized by Forbes as a top-rated medical device company. Tenex says recent financing will allow it to integrate manufacturing and production with operations and sales, expand physician and consumer marketing campaigns, and build a broader product pipeline. The company is California-based and markets the FAST procedure to orthopedic surgeons and other clinicians. Tenex Health commercializes the TX1 Tissue Removal System, a portable, self‑contained device used with the FAST (Focused Aspiration of Soft Tissue) procedure to precisely remove diseased tendon and related soft tissue. The technology was developed in collaboration with Mayo Clinic and received 510(k) FDA clearance in February 2011. The company launched the TX1 System in May 2011 and reports it is already showing profits and a growing customer base. Initial clinical use targets the elbow and knee, with product launches addressing plantar fascia, shoulder, and Achilles injuries forthcoming. Tenex plans to deploy capital toward product manufacturing, building a sales force, and marketing initiatives to support broader commercial rollout.
