Tengo is a software-as-a-service tool that uses AI to find, evaluate and respond to public tenders, automating search, criteria matching and document analysis. Clients create feeds of tender criteria and Tengo scans public portals that host tenders; the article notes there are more than 200 such platforms in France. The product analyzes lengthy, often 50-page, tender documents to highlight key aspects, reference important pages and automatically identify specific requirements (the company says it detects about 40 criteria). Tengo also acts as a central repository for tender work: customers get an overview of applications in progress, can add comments, share tenders, receive alerts for expiring opportunities and use built-in AI to generate response documents. The startup was founded last year and has attracted dozens of clients, including OpenClassrooms, Citron, Theodo and Carrefour Pro. Financially, Tengo has raised €3 million in a funding round led by Point Nine and plans to add features such as collaborative joint-bidding between customers.
