Tensive develops Regenera, a porous implantable prosthesis made from biodegradable synthetic biomaterials and fabricated with internal micro-channels that mimic blood-vessel architecture. The technology is designed to trigger adipose tissue regeneration while the implant’s synthetic material deteriorates. Regenera is in pre-clinical development and has not been tested in human patients. The company was founded in 2012 as a spinoff of the Filarete Foundation and is based in Milan, Italy. Leadership includes CEO and CSO Gianfranco Bellezza and President Alberto Cantaluppi, alongside co-founders in R&D, operations and regulatory roles. Tensive intends to use new funding to accelerate development of its solutions.
