Teooh is an avatar-based virtual gathering platform that lets users design personalized avatars and host meetings, events and presentations inside custom-built virtual venues accessible on mobile devices with no VR headset required. The company’s venues are used by a range of customers from multinational corporations to small groups of friends and family. Since launching in beta in April 2020, Teooh’s venues have hosted more than 5,000 virtual events, remote team meetings and personal gatherings. The product emphasizes consistent community connection without borders or boundaries and supports anyone opening a venue from a mobile device. Teooh intends to use its new funding to accelerate platform development, build about a dozen additional virtual venues for users, and make growth-focused leadership hires.
