Terafunding is a Seoul-based peer-to-peer lending platform focused on real estate. It provides financing solutions for local developers who have limited access to development loans and otherwise rely on private financing with interest rates often above 30% per annum. The company has originated more than US$700 million on a cumulative basis as of July 31 and has fully repaid around US$500 million. Founded in early 2015, Terafunding's core product connects developers with P2P investors for real estate projects. With the new funding, it plans to acquire talent from the real estate, finance, and IT sectors and to accelerate development of project screening systems and risk management processes.
