TerminusDB is an open-source collaborative data integration platform that enables teams to share, build and integrate databases across locations. The company also offers a complementary commercial data collection and collaboration SaaS, TerminusHub, which provides team access to the latest data integrations. A spinout of Trinity College Dublin, TerminusDB reports approximately 150,000 downloads since going open-source at the beginning of 2020 and about 1,500 users on its SaaS offering, including enterprise customers. The startup plans to use new funding to grow its team and product lineup and to expand its user base. Management says the funding is an endorsement of its technology and community as it invests further in the product. Current operational focus is on scaling headcount, expanding offerings, and accelerating user onboarding.
