테라클 produces high-purity recycled terephthalic acid (CR-TPA) and ethylene glycol by chemically recycling plastic, textile, and other hard-to-recycle wastes. The company successfully commercialized domestic-scale production of high-purity CR-TPA and holds a green-technology certification for its chemical depolymerization process, which showed about a 97% conversion rate. Its hydrolytic depolymerization runs at under 60°C and at atmospheric pressure, requiring significantly less energy than conventional high-temperature, high-pressure methods. 테라클 demonstrated its technical capabilities through a recycling demonstration with Hyundai’s AVP basic materials research center. The company aims to enable closed-loop resource circulation so customers can recycle manufacturing and process waste back into products. Proceeds from the recent financing will fund a depolymerization facility with an annual production capacity of 4,000 tons and expand recycling of wastes including discarded plastics, clothing, automotive parts, and marine debris.
