Overview

TerraEchos delivers mission-critical, time-critical threat detection, analysis, confirmation and response via its Kairos™ appliance and software. Kairos™ ingests and correlates massive amounts of live structured and unstructured data from cyber and physical domains to produce actionable insights in real time. In a U.S. government application the system processes over 300 megabits of telemetry per second across more than 1,000 ISR channels to provide target classification and location every 1/14 of a second. TerraEchos targets customers with critical needs for rapid detection and response, including U.S. defense and intelligence networks, energy smart grids, nuclear facilities, pipeline networks, and other cyber-physical infrastructure. The company plans to expand its software development team and to work with key U.S. Government customers to broaden Kairos™ applications. Prior support includes an initial seed led by Flywheel Ventures, participation from strategic investors S&K Technologies and GCS Research, and grants from the State of Montana Big Sky Trust Fund and other state and federal programs. TerraEchos develops Kairos™, a software/compute appliance that leverages the IBM InfoSphere Streams platform with proprietary analytic code to analyze high-volume structured and unstructured text, voice, video, sensor and other data in real time. Kairos is designed to detect threats and anomalies as data streams across networks and is described as fully scalable and interoperable. The company targets customers that need rapid detection and response, including U.S. defense and intelligence communities, energy smart grids, nuclear facilities, pipeline networks, and other cyber-physical infrastructure. TerraEchos plans to use the new financing to expand its software development team and its business-development presence for key U.S. government security customers. Management includes founder and CEO/CTO Dr. Alex Philp; Bill Hartman is joining as President and COO. Prior to this raise the company received a State of Montana Big Sky Trust Fund grant and other state and federal funding initiatives to support workforce expansion.
