Overview
Tessellate BIO is a preclinical-stage company that discovers and develops novel precision oncology medicines targeting pathways beyond homologous recombination deficiency, with a focus on the DNA damage response (DDR). Its lead program targets the Alternative Lengthening of Telomeres (ALT) mechanism and specifically the FANCM protein complex. That lead program is based on discoveries from co-founders Prof. Hilda Pickett (CMRI) and Prof. Claus Azzalin (iMM), and the company is building a pipeline of first‑in‑class medicines sourced from international laboratories including CMRI (Australia) and iMM (Portugal). Tessellate is headquartered in the Netherlands and operates research labs at the Stevenage Bioscience Catalyst in the UK. The company is led by CEO Andree Blaukat, CSO Jürgen Moll and COO Andrew Lightfoot, with Eliot Forster joining as Chair of the Board. Tessellate emerged from stealth and raised initial funding to advance its lead ALT program.
