Tesseract Health is developing the Tesseract iC, a binocular eye-imaging diagnostic platform that pairs novel chemical sensors, multidimensional imaging and artificial intelligence to image the retina. The device is designed to be portable, affordable and operable by anyone, and to support cloud-connected telemedicine. Tesseract positions the retina as a noninvasive diagnostic window that can enable screening, diagnosis, monitoring and treatment across ophthalmology and beyond into primary care, cardiology and neurology. The Tesseract iC platform is not yet FDA cleared and is not available for sale. The company plans to use new financing to advance research, pursue US and international regulatory clearances, ramp up manufacturing, enhance its AI capabilities and prepare for commercial launch. Tesseract Health is part of the 4Catalyzer accelerator network, with connections to offices in Connecticut, New York, California and Taiwan.
