Tessl is building an AI-native, spec-centric software development platform that reimagines how software is created by moving from code-centric to spec-centric workflows. Its core product is an open system of record enabling developers and AI to collaborate on specifications to define and build software. The platform aims to make development more accessible, productive, maintainable, secure, and portable by reducing reliance on hand-written code. Tessl opened a waitlist and plans to launch its platform in early 2025. The new funding will be used to build out the platform and accelerate hiring across AI research, engineering, product, design, and developer relations. The company was co-founded by Guy Podjarny, the founder of Snyk.
