Testive is a TechStars Boston alum that has developed adaptive test-preparation products, including TurboTest and SAT Habit. Its platform automatically generates assessments and practice tests tailored to students' weaknesses, adapting question difficulty and updating SAT score predictions as students answer. Testive says it can predict an SAT score in roughly a third of the time of a full-length test by using adaptive questioning. The product also includes videos from teachers that explain each question, providing an interactive, at-home tutor experience. About 10,000 students are already using its customized test-prep experiences. Testive plans to license its rapid SAT score prediction technology to other platforms or prep tools. The company announced a $500,000 seed financing from a group of Boston-based angel investors.
