Thatch is a US-based mobile app that enables travel creators to build their own travel-based businesses and monetize recommendations. The platform will allow creators to sell interactive travel plans and takes a small percentage of each sale. Before the pandemic Thatch relied on a subscription model matching travelers with planners; during COVID-19 the team shifted to focus on creators and improving the app. The company reports its audience reached over 12 million people and has seen a recent jump in usage. Soon Thatch plans to go live with monetization and booking features so creators can be paid directly. The founders are West Askew, Abby West, and Shane Farmer.
