The company serves more than 60,000 customers and employs approximately 5,000 people, having doubled in size since 2020 through double‑digit organic growth and strategic M&A. Access reports uninterrupted profitable growth over the last 15 years and has expanded internationally with offices in nine countries. Management says it will continue to pursue organic product development and acquisitive growth to expand its footprint in the UK, Ireland and Asia Pacific. The firm highlights an acquisition facility intended to support further buy‑and‑build activity and to add technology and people to the Group. Founded in 1991, Access positions its products to transform customer productivity across commercial and not‑for‑profit sectors. The Access Group builds business management software, including its Access Workspace cloud platform, for mid-sized organisations across commercial and not-for-profit sectors. It has nine offices across the UK and Ireland and employs over 300 people. Access intends to use the proceeds from the £50m investment to execute an expansion plan focused on rapid organic growth and the acquisition of complementary solutions. The strategy also emphasizes continued product development, including advancement of software-as-a-service (SaaS) capabilities. In conjunction with the transaction, Lyceum Capital acquired stakes previously held by founder Alistair O’Reilly and other shareholders; Lyceum’s Jeremy Hand and Phillip Buscombe joined the board and Gareth Denley was added as Chairman.
