The Glue is a Brussels, Belgium-based fintech provider that has developed a mobile and digital infrastructure for financial institutions and insurance companies. Its solution combines front-end channels and API ecosystems with existing banking systems to support the creation of new products and offerings. The company was co-founded by Jürgen Ingels and Stefan Dierckx and employs a team of about 50 software engineers. The Glue closed a €5m venture capital funding round led by Polytech Ecosystem Ventures with participation from existing investors. It intends to use the funds to expand its client base with a focus on Europe and the US and to continue investing in its software solution. The funding round was reported in March 2017.
