Founded in May 2024, TISC has built a transformer-based platform that learns what to remember and when to retrieve it from live, multi-modal data streams, surfacing precise context in milliseconds. The system merges retrieval and reasoning so users or AI agents can make evidence-backed calls without multiple follow-up queries, enabling use cases ranging from play-calling in sports to command-and-control in defence. Early validations include deployments with a Caribbean national basketball team, several NCAA Division 1 games, and an active rollout with the Women’s Premier Basketball Association, where the technology will ultimately power an AI assistant coach. Since inception the company has hired a founding machine-learning researcher and assembled a Bay Area– and Toronto-based founding team. Future plans center on expanding professional and collegiate sports pilots, adding adjacent verticals like emergency response, and recruiting additional top ML talent. TISC positions itself as the “retrieval layer” that eliminates guesswork in time-critical scenarios, replacing hunches and static playbooks with real-time insights. The company’s growth to date has been funded by a US$2.1 million pre-seed round that will bankroll hiring, pilot expansion, and relationship building in its target markets.
