The Kive Company is the startup behind the ArtKive iPhone app, which lets parents photograph kids' artwork and tag each piece with name, grade, date, and title. Users can share artwork with other ArtKive users, and the company plans to offer a printed book product from the saved photos. Since launch 10 weeks ago, ArtKive users have uploaded 250,000 pieces of art. Founder and CEO Jedd Gold said ArtKive is the first of the company’s apps and that the team will develop additional technology solutions to make parents' lives easier. The company is working on an Android version. The app aims to replace cluttered refrigerators and boxes by providing a digital, shareable, and eventually physical album alternative.
