The Meta is a training platform for gamers that builds on Kovaak’s FPS Aim Trainer. Its product comprises two parts: a self-guided training platform with branches focused on specific skills and Kovaak’s Sandbox, the aim trainer with more than 2,600 user-created scenarios. The self-guided side currently focuses on flicking (click timing), with more than 40 sub-levels and support for Overwatch and Fortnite, and it provides players insights about their deficiencies. The company plans to introduce tracking and scoping skill branches and to launch on consoles in the future; it is currently available on Steam for PC. The Meta charges a one-time $9.99 price and says it is averaging 20,000 units sold per month. The startup was founded by Duncan Haberly, Jay Brown and Chris Olson and joined forces with Kovaak, a former Quake pro.
