Founded and announced by Laura Du, The New Club operates a community-first professional network for women in engineering. Over its first year it has cultivated more than 1,000 senior women members, from staff engineers to VPs, CTOs, and founders. The organization has hosted over 150 in-person events and learning experiences, including dinners, fireside chats, and Women in Engineering Weekend Retreats. The New Club highlights user-centric milestones such as matching members with startup opportunities as core measures of progress. With the recently announced capital, the team plans to build tech platforms to scale impact and the community. The company said the fundraising will enable the team to forward-invest in product and community growth.
