Global Transpark will host a five-story pilot training center and headquarters funded by a $30 million investment from the State of North Carolina. The complex is planned to house up to five full-motion flight simulators occupying 10,000 square feet across three stories and five bays, along with 14,000 square feet of classrooms, a rooftop terrace, and a 22,000-square-foot air operations center. flyExclusive expects the simulators to shorten wait times for new pilot hires and give the company a hiring advantage in a tight labor market. The investment is described as a prelude to Phase III expansion after Phase II, which built four hangars including an electrostatic paint shop capable of handling eight aircraft per month. Those hangars and the Phase III campus expansion are intended to allow roughly 80% of maintenance to be brought in-house, reducing outsourcing delays and costs; the company has also received FAA Part 145 certification to perform MRO on third-party aircraft. flyExclusive has been modernizing and growing its fleet—recently adding its 100th jet and placing orders for up to 44 Textron Aviation aircraft including as many as 30 CJ3+ light jets, plus up to 14 midsize and super-midsize Cessna Citation aircraft (eight XLS Gen2 and six Longitude)—with the Global Transpark investment supporting those operational and training needs.
