The Patient Company develops SimPull, a device intended to simplify lateral patient transfers while reducing time and injury risk for patients and staff. The company completed clinical studies with Sparrow Health and Corewell Health and is conducting a final study at the Mayo Clinic. SimPull has received the necessary FDA approvals to begin sales and the product has moved from development into a commercial stage. With Series A funding, the company plans to begin manufacturing to fulfill initial orders and to support sales, further product development, and research. The company was launched in August 2019 through Spectrum Health Ventures by co-founders Andrew Heuerman and Ryan Peters.
