The Portal operates a members club focused on wellness, creativity, thought leadership, and meaningful community; it opened its first location in Marin/San Francisco in 2024. Its offering combines physical amenities — including pools, cold plunges, sauna, movement studios, a restaurant and bar, coworking spaces, an art gallery, and a podcast studio — with programming such as live music, salon discussions, talks, movement classes, and member-led gatherings. Members receive reciprocal access to more than 30 partner clubs worldwide. The company announced a $5 million funding round to finance a second flagship location in Downtown Austin at 601 Rio Grande, a roughly 15,000-square-foot space slated to open in Fall 2026. The Austin project is being designed by FanFare and led by Bill Swano with lead interior designer Bernadette Stewart. The Portal has attracted participation from a range of investors and cultural leaders and lists advisors across technology, wellness, and culture.
