The Thinking Pod innovations (TTPi) is a University of Nottingham spin-out that develops smaller, lighter, more efficient power converters and motor drive systems. Its core product work includes a DC-to-DC modular converter unit intended for use in electric vehicles. The company plans to use newly raised funds to further develop that modular converter and to create commercial licence agreements and patents. TTPi developed its technology in collaboration with the University of Nottingham and targets applications in EVs, aircraft and dynamic industrial processes.
