theComplete.me, which has relaunched as LikeIt.com, provides a service to discover people, places and things via social-graph interests and social games. It enables social people discovery by allowing users to connect with others who are talking about the things they like — music, movies, books, hobbies and sports — and to share those items across social platforms. Supported sharing platforms include Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Photobucket, Flickr, Foursquare and Goodreads. The company is led by founder and CEO Brian Bowman and CTO Shashikant Joshi. In private beta it has amassed about 1.5 million profiles of users and their friends. The product preserves anonymity (only first names are initially shown and nothing posts to Facebook unless enabled) and lets users link IDs from other dating sites to message users there through the app. The company plans to monetize via microtransactions such as ads adjacent to fraMEs while keeping the core app free; the founding team is led by Brian Bowman, former VP of product at Match.com.
