ThinkGenetic builds an AI-driven SymptomMatcher that helps locate individuals with diagnosed and undiagnosed genetic diseases by guiding users through plain-language, question-and-answer workflows. The product makes it easier to find possible explanations for unrelated symptoms and health issues. Led by CEO Dave Jacob, the company has been mentored since its acceptance into the Accelerate South accelerator in Lafayette in 2018. ThinkGenetic intends to use new funding to expand its range of services and personnel, create new partnerships and develop new technology to complement current offerings. The company also plans to leverage a new relationship with Lafayette General Health System to bring clinical trials and electronic medical record reviews to Louisiana. Financially, the company recently closed a $1.5M angel round.
