Overview
Rocket Ninja develops social 3D entertainment and a proprietary browser-based 3D content pipeline engine called Shr3d. Shr3d is accessible across devices and applications, can render complex scenes, features a robust content pipeline and provides a platform for publishing games in a wide variety of styles and genres. Users do not have to download anything to view games or apps in 3D. The company debuted its first social 3D game on Facebook earlier this year, Wrestler Unstoppable, an action-based game that simulates the wrestling ring and lets players compete against friends. Founded two years ago, Rocket Ninja plans to develop apps for self-expression, communication and other forms of entertainment. The company has raised a total of $11 million, including a $7.5 million Series B, and will use the new funding for product development and hiring. Rocket Ninja is a San Francisco-based social games and apps company focused on Facebook titles. It emerged from stealth and has launched its first Facebook title, Ocean Kingdom. The company has multiple other titles in internal production scheduled for release within the next six months. Rocket Ninja is negotiating marketing and publishing deals with several independent developers to expand its catalogue. The management team is led by CEO Oded Pelled and includes CTO Randy Fish and executive producer Neil Haldar. The company recently completed a $3.5 million Series A financing.
