This is Not a Sushi Bar operates a tech-enabled sushi delivery chain that manages orders across multiple sales points. The company currently runs four locations in Milan and leverages a proprietary platform to handle online orders. Founded in 2007 by president Matteo Pittarello, it recorded over 40,000 online orders and nearly €1.4m in turnover in the latest 12 months. The recent financing is intended to fund openings of new facilities in Italy and abroad and to continue consolidating the tech infrastructure. Nuvolab, the venture accelerator founded by Francesco Inguscio, advised the company on the fundraising. The business combines restaurant operations with a technology layer to scale delivery and sales channels.
