Tholos is building an institutional-grade custody and treasury management platform that enables organizations to securely hold assets, transact, interact with dApps, and manage day-to-day operations. The product is fully self-custodial (Tholos does not retain any share of a vault’s key), multi-chain across EVM and beyond, and targets DAOs, funds, teams, businesses, and security-conscious individuals. Tholos uses an MPC infrastructure developed by former Israeli intelligence cybersecurity experts, has onboarded a security advisor with intelligence and institutional custody experience, and will undergo cryptography and penetration testing prior to going live. The company emphasizes UX improvements based on user research and aims to streamline common flows into one-click pathways. Tholos positions itself as the cheapest custody solution with no startup cost, no transaction take rate, no contracts or monthly fees, and plans to monetize via small convenience fees for opt-in services like in-dashboard asset swaps.
