Since launch, Thoughtfull says its revenue has grown 30× in total, and revenue rose 10× year-over-year over the past year. Its mental health professional network covers 57 locations in Asia, the app is available in 11 languages, and it has users in 95 locations worldwide. The company emphasizes partnerships with insurers to increase affordability and employer uptake, including deals with AIA Malaysia and with FWD in Hong Kong and Thailand. Thoughtfull positions itself to scale end-to-end mental healthcare through payor partnerships and corporate channels. ThoughtFull operates the ThoughtFullChat app, which connects users to mental health professionals for coaching or therapy and offers self-guided tools. It also offers ThoughtFullCare Pro, an app to help mental health professionals manage and scale online practices. The company was founded in 2019 and launched its consumer app in 2020; its main operating markets are Singapore and Malaysia and it now has users in 43 countries. ThoughtFullChat is available in five languages (English, Bahasa Malaysia, Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin and Cantonese) and the platform includes coaches fluent in additional regional languages. The startup works closely with local healthcare stakeholders and has partnered with groups such as The Hive Southeast Asia and Malaysia’s Penjana Capital to digitize aspects of the country’s mental health ecosystem. The company says it focuses on end-to-end services that provide both preventative and curative options and creates closed feedback loops to improve care quality.
