Threadsol Software's product intelloCut is a cloud-based material planning and optimisation solution for sewn products, serving apparel, footwear, automotive, home furnishing and technical textiles. intelloCut snaps into buying, cutting and material-use processes to measure, predict and optimise material utilisation and productivity, automatically creating cut orders, suggesting grouping, allocating rolls and planning remnants. The software claims practical savings of up to 10% material, a 30% improvement in cutting productivity and a 70% reduction in end bits, and reduces plies, markers, bodies-cut and end-bit wastage. Threadsol has offices in Bangalore and Delhi and was founded in 2012 by Manasij Ganguli (CEO) and Mausmi Ambastha (COO), who have industry and engineering backgrounds. The company will use the $200,000 seed capital to fuel global expansion, strengthen marketing and sales networks, and develop new products from its R&D facility in Delhi. The round includes investment from Blume Ventures and a group of angel investors including Google India chief Rajan Anandan.
