Three-Sixty Aquaculture
The Old Distribution Terminal, Queens Dock, Swansea, Wales, SA1 8SB, United Kingdom
Overview
Three-Sixty Aquaculture operates the UK’s only sushi-grade prawn farm and uses Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) technology to reduce environmental impact and cut reliance on frozen prawn imports. The company raised €4.1 million in a Series A to scale operations and build a new facility in Neath, Wales. The new facility is slated to launch in 2025 and will supply sushi-grade prawns to the UK restaurant and hospitality sectors as well as direct-to-consumer channels. As production scales, Three-Sixty plans to grow output to over 2,000 tonnes annually. Management says the technology could be exported internationally as the company explores overseas opportunities. The funding will be used primarily to expand production of sustainable, locally sourced prawns.
