Founded in 2018, Thriftify provides a technology platform that enables charity shops to automatically value donated items, list them across multiple online marketplaces, and manage the entire e-commerce process, including customer service and fulfilment. The company says it now serves 98% of Irish charity shops and is focusing on expanding its footprint in Britain, aiming to have every registered UK charity retailer on its site by the end of 2023. Recent technology investments have strengthened its automated pricing and multi-channel listing capabilities, positioning it to divert more sales from fast fashion to the circular economy. Thriftify reports approximately 300% year-over-year growth since launch and currently employs 30 people across Ireland, the UK, Moldova, India, Pakistan and Spain. The new funding will allow the firm to hire 20 additional staff, primarily in sales and marketing, to accelerate UK expansion. With offices in Dublin and London, the social enterprise is committed to disrupting the fashion industry by making second-hand shopping seamless and scalable.
