TickerTags provides an investment-oriented listening platform that tracks mentions of built-in tags for about 8,000 publicly traded companies and 350,000+ associated tags across Twitter, financial and mainstream publications, blogs, and industry forums. Conversations are displayed on a real-time graph plotted against current stock price so peaks and drops in chatter can act as early warnings of price moves. The product combines machine-learning tag generation with human Tag Curators and allows subscribers to add private tags. The company plans to monetize via Private Tags with subscription tiers starting at $30/month for 40 tags and is offering up to 40 Private Tags free through the end of the year. Feature road map items include adding sentiment analysis within 90 days and integrating Facebook data later in the year.
