Tilray is a global pioneer in medical cannabis research, cultivation, processing and distribution, selling pharmaceutical‑grade, GMP‑certified products to tens of thousands of patients in eight countries. The company supplies hospitals, pharmacies and pharmaceutical distributors across four continents and has signed supply agreements with NOWEDA and Shoppers Drug Mart. Tilray will use the new funding to increase production capacity in North America, continue building its EU campus in Portugal, and expand product availability to more patients and pharmacies globally. Since opening in 2014 Tilray had been wholly owned and solely funded by Privateer Holdings; the Series A represents the first direct outside investment into the company. Tilray is federally licensed in Canada and Europe and operates affiliated entities in Australia & New Zealand, Canada, Germany and Portugal.
