TimelyMD provides a campus-focused telehealth platform offering on-demand medical care, immediate and scheduled mental health counseling, psychiatry, and health coaching specifically for students. Its services are available 24/7 with licensed providers in all 50 states and are offered at no cost to students without requiring traditional health insurance. TimelyMD operates as an extension of student health and counseling centers on 80 college campuses, including Duke, Emory, Georgetown, Johns Hopkins, Los Rios Community College District, University of Notre Dame and Paul Quinn College. The company reports it now serves ten times as many students as it did in early 2020, and that over the last ten months more than 60% of visits have been for mental health (versus 10% prior to the pandemic). TimelyMD says it aims to improve student outcomes and health literacy by enhancing the virtual care experience and applying technological innovation to campus health workflows. The company will use new funding to expand its team and scale services to meet sustained demand for teletherapy and telemedicine among college populations.
